A significant highlight in my career, this event marked my first major project with Bubble Food. My client Fairholme Studio reached out to me at Bubble to assist them in creating the ultimate lunch for 40 of the brand's guests, designed to evoke the essence of the featured fragrance, "From the Garden”. The fragrance's Tomato Leaf accord, Green Mandarin notes, Patchouli, and Geranium inspired the fully plant-based culinary creations, with a special highlight on tomatoes. Every element resonated with the theme of a sun-drenched garden. My role involved overseeing the planning, coordinating the catering and beverage elements, and ensuring that every detail was executed flawlessly, creating a seamless and unforgettable experience.

Kensington Palace, known for its royal heritage and stunning gardens, provided a regal backdrop to the “Replica” exhibition. The event took place in the Orangery, a space that combines classic architectural details with expansive, light-filled interiors, ideal for the high-profile showcase. The concept was to create a sensory journey that allowed guests to experience the unique elements of the fragrance, translated into visual, tactile, and gustatory elements.
The collaboration began with detailed planning sessions with Maison Margiela and Fairholme Studio, focusing on creating a narrative that guests could walk through and experience. The event was designed to reflect the fragrance’s notes: from the zesty hints of Green Mandarin to the earthy tones of Patchouli. Each aspect of the event was thoughtfully curated to bring out these elements, from the decor to the plant-based menu that mirrored the natural ingredients of the fragrances.
The culinary experience was a highlight, featuring a bespoke, fully plant-based menu that complemented the fragrance notes. Innovative dishes were crafted to embody the scent’s components, such as Tomato Leaf and Geranium—each course a reflection of the perfume’s journey. The menu not only pleased the palate but also played a crucial role in the multisensory experience, enhancing the guests’ connection to the fragrance.
Feedback from guests was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the seamless blend of historical luxury and modern design. The event not only highlighted the versatility of Kensington Palace as a venue but also solidified Maison Margiela’s reputation for innovative and experiential branding.
In conclusion, the Maison Margiela Replica event at Kensington Palace was more than just an exhibition; it was a celebration of art, history, and scent. As the event planner, my role was to ensure that every element—from the initial concept to the final execution—was aligned with both the brand’s and the venue’s prestigious standards. This event stands as a testament to my commitment to creating exclusive, memorable experiences that resonate with clients and their audiences, showcasing the profound impact of blending traditional settings with contemporary expressions.
