Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of supporting Gina Goldhammer with the launch of her debut novel, Where Snowbirds Play, hosted at the breathtaking Leighton House in Kensington.
Nestled in the heart of west London, Leighton House provided the perfect setting for an evening of literature, elegance, and celebration. As the event producer, I was brought on board by Gina to manage her guest list and create the digital save-the-date and invitation designs—which you’ll see featured throughout this post.
Guests were warmly welcomed into the house and garden with champagne and canapés provided by the brilliant team at Bovingdons Catering, whose food and service brought a relaxed refinement to the evening. From the opening toast to the final page signed, every detail felt perfectly considered.
I invited Philippa Sian to photograph the event, and she captured the mood and magic of the evening beautifully—moments of laughter, admiration, and quiet connection as guests wandered through the house’s opulent interiors and leafy garden.
The evening followed a thoughtfully curated timeline:
The soft spring light and Leighton House’s incredible setting made this a launch to remember.
Choosing Leighton House as the venue wasn’t just about beauty—it was about grounding the launch of Where Snowbirds Play in a place rich in creativity and history. Once the studio-home of Victorian artist Frederick Leighton, the museum remains one of London’s most unique and inspiring cultural spaces. It proved a stunning and poetic backdrop for a novel inspired by place, memory, and imagination.
