Old Sessions House, with its striking façade and majestic interiors, provided the perfect canvas for Charlotte and Hugo’s sophisticated and meticulously personalised wedding. As their planner, I was entrusted with the responsibility to ensure every element of their special day reflected their unique personalities and collective style.

The wedding day unfolded within the historical walls of Old Sessions House, a venue renowned for its breath-taking architecture and dramatic, yet intimate spaces. The couple’s desire for a wedding that felt both grand and personal was realised through a series of bespoke touches and careful coordination that highlighted the venue’s unique features.

The ceremony was held at Charter House, where the venue’s natural elegance was accentuated with minimalist decor, focusing on floral elegance and soft lighting to create a romantic atmosphere. The use of lush greenery and white blooms, arranged by Star Flowers framed the space beautifully, setting a serene and inviting tone.

Attention to detail was paramount in every aspect of the event design. From the custom-designed stationery that greeted guests upon their arrival to the hand-picked table settings that featured classic China and linens, every detail was thoughtfully curated. The colour palette of soft pastels with hints of metallics added a touch of contemporary luxury to the historic setting, blending the old with the new seamlessly.

Charlotte and Hugo’s reception was a testament to their love for fine dining and good music. The dinner, catered by Social Pantry, featured a menu of modern British cuisine with a personal twist—each dish inspired by significant moments in their relationship. This personalisation extended to the bespoke cocktails served, each named after pivotal moments in their lives together.

Entertainment was carefully selected to complement the elegance of the venue and the personal tastes of the couple. A live band took over in the evening, filling the dance floor with energy and excitement.

One of the standout features of the day was the innovative use of space within Old Sessions House. The venue’s multiple levels were utilised to create different atmospheres throughout the day—from a romantic seated dinner in the great room to a vibrant evening of dancing and live music.

Post-dinner, guests were invited to partake in a custom dessert experience in the venue’s main space, where interactive dessert stations offered everything from artisan chocolates to classic British puddings, providing a sweet end to a delightful celebration.

Charlotte and Hugo’s wedding at Old Sessions House was not just a celebration of their union but a showcase of their life together, brought to life through thoughtful planning and a deep understanding of their desires. It was a joy to help them bring their vision to life, ensuring that their wedding day was as unforgettable as the venue itself.

This event highlights my commitment to creating bespoke weddings that resonate deeply with my clients’ visions, ensuring that each celebration is as unique as the couple themselves
