CHELSEA OLD TOWN HALL / NOMAD LONDON

Lucy & Ben

10.10.2026

Overview

Lucy and Ben's October wedding was London distilled into one Saturday: a civil ceremony in the Brydon Room at Chelsea Old Town Hall, a cream double-decker across town, and dinner for 62 at NoMad London — with the party running until three in the morning.

The ceremony was kept close — forty guests in one of Chelsea's most storied rooms — before everyone boarded the bus to Covent Garden, where drinks were waiting at the NoMad.

Dinner ran down three long tables in the Magistrates' Ballroom, with the NoMad kitchen behind every plate and the couple's two-tier cake iced 'just married 10.10.26'. Then the room turned over to a DJ-and-live-sax set that held the floor until two, and the house carried it on from there.

A town-hall ceremony, a vintage bus, one of London's great hotel dining rooms and a proper late licence. Some weddings don't need a marquee — they need the right rooms in the right order.

the details

A Ceremony in the Brydon Room

Lucy and Ben married in front of forty guests at Chelsea Old Town Hall, with reading booklets at every seat and the wedding party arriving by classic London taxi.

The Cream Bus

Straight after the ceremony, guests boarded a cream vintage double-decker for the ride across town to the NoMad — the kind of journey that gets photographed more than some ceremonies.

Dinner at NoMad London

Dinner for 62 in the Magistrates' Ballroom: three long tables, steak tartare and beef fillet from the NoMad kitchen, and a two-tier 'Cake of Hearts' from Amy's Bakehouse.

Details Worth Leaning Into

Stationery by Studio Ellio T with branded matchbooks at every place, florals by Mad Iris, a piper from Millie Scott, and a photo booth tucked in for the evening.

Until Three in the Morning

CJ Sax ran a DJ-and-live-sax set until two, the house playlist carried on after, and carriages weren't until 3am. London hotels rarely let you do that; the NoMad does.
