the details
Rachel and Ben wanted a wedding that felt welcoming, relaxed, and full of heart — without feeling under-planned or chaotic.
They valued great food, strong atmosphere, and a day that flowed intuitively for guests. Their priority was trusting an experienced planner to manage logistics, timing, and suppliers seamlessly, allowing them to stay present and enjoy the celebration without distraction.
Events by James supported Rachel and Ben with full planning and on-the-day coordination, overseeing every logistical and operational detail.
Our role included:
→ Managing all suppliers, timings, and venue logistics
→ Designing and delivering a clear, intuitive guest journey across ceremony, reception, dinner, and dancing
→ Coordinating an informal staircase ceremony followed by a multi-level drinks reception
→ Managing speeches, production cues, and room transitions
→ Overseeing table styling, cake moments, and late-night food service
→ Acting as the calm central presence from morning setup through to final guest departure
From rehearsal through to last dance, every element was managed quietly and confidently to preserve atmosphere and ease.
