Having collaborated with Blncd Drinks for many years, bringing them on board for my styled shoot was a natural choice. Founded by the talented mixologists Emily and Rewfus, Blncd Drinks specialises in creating cocktails that are as visually captivating as they are delicious. For this shoot, they went above and beyond, crafting a series of bespoke cocktails that perfectly aligned with the aesthetic and vibe of Events by James. The attention to detail in each drink speaks to the level of sophistication we strive to achieve, ensuring each element of the celebration is both memorable and unique.
Drink Concepts with BLNCD DRINKS: Overview of the Cocktails Created
Blncd Drinks created an extraordinary selection of cocktails that added depth, flavour, and visual impact to the shoot. Each drink was crafted to embody the mood and style of the event, becoming an extension of the overall experience.
HONEYED TWILIGHT
A harmonious blend of bourbon and rye, sweetened with a spiced honey infusion featuring rosemary, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, orange, and vanilla. Garnished with a bold orange peel wing, this drink is a tribute to golden, memorable moments.
PISTACHIO DUSK
A smooth blend of white rum and house-made pistachio syrup, elevated with clarified lemon and a hint of toasted almond bitters. Finished with a delicate pistachio cream and a dusting of pistachio powder, this drink offers a luxurious touch of nutty warmth.
MIDNIGHT BLUSH
London Dry Gin infused with peach liqueur and orgeat, balanced with fresh lemon and topped with a velvety egg white finish. As refreshing as the anticipation before a grand celebration, this cocktail brings a subtle elegance to the lineup.
TROPICAL SILHOUETTE
Vodka meets Chalong Bay Rum in a clarified mango infusion with jasmine rice and coconut water, delivering a taste of the exotic. Garnished with a dehydrated pineapple dart and a delicate thread of saffron, this cocktail transports guests to a tropical paradise.
Design Synergy: How Drinks Matched the Colour Scheme and Overall Vibe
The colour scheme and overall vibe of the shoot were carefully considered when designing these cocktails. Each drink was created not only for flavour but also to align with the visual aesthetics. With the mood board guiding the look and feel, the cocktails became a focal point within the bar setup. The colours and textures of each drink added layers of sophistication and seamlessly blended with the surrounding décor, enhancing the visual storytelling of the shoot.

I never order a cocktail at a restaurant that I could easily recreate at home—I want an experience, something unique. With Blncd Drinks, guests are offered a once-in-a-lifetime cocktail crafted specifically to commemorate the occasion.
For my own wedding, Blncd created a cocktail called “The Perfect Pair,” a drink that was special and entirely unique to us. Offering such personalised cocktails allows couples to share a meaningful, memorable experience with their guests, marking the celebration with a flavour that will forever remind them of that day.
