A Collaboration with Cotton Tales and Their Artistry in Event Embroidery
My journey with Henny from Cotton Tales began just over a year ago, and in that time, we’ve collaborated to create some truly memorable pieces. Henny has a knack for designing bespoke textiles that bring a unique and elegant touch to any event. Her passion for meaningful, detailed embroidery aligns perfectly with my vision for Events by James. Earlier this year, Henny shared a dream of embroidering a menu onto a napkin—a keepsake-worthy addition to any wedding or celebration. This concept inspired me to explore a similar idea for my own styled shoot but with a twist. Instead of embroidering single-use napkins, we opted for reusable, custom-designed placemats.
Each placemat was carefully crafted in neutral beige tones with the names of my nearest and dearest embroidered in rich, elegant fonts. We added a subtle brand symbol and an understated message beneath each plate, meant to be revealed only after the main course. This detail offers endless possibilities, from revealing a personal note to guiding guests through a multi-course experience.
